66406 - Harnessing the Power of the Cloud - Computational Fluid Dynamics With SimScale
One of the biggest challenges facing engineers is product design cycles across a plethora of industries are becoming shorter and shorter, as an increased number of products get to the market faster. During the concept phase, engineers and designers need a reliable, fast, easy-to-use, and accurate tool to help them identify problems or find alternative design methods in the early stage. The big downside is that the cost incurred by changes increases with each step from concept to the final realization of the product.
Facilitated by the emergence of cloud computing, computer-aided engineering (CAE) technology is now offered as a software as a service (SaaS) solution, which increases its accessibility and ease of use. Online fluid flow (CFD) simulation is used in addressing a broad variety of problems in electronics design, allowing engineers to accurately predict the temperature, flow behavior, and heat flux distributions, guiding them towards smarter design decisions.
SimScale is an engineering simulation platform that is revolutionizing the way engineers, designers, scientists, and students design products. The SimScale platform is accessible completely via a standard web browser, with an easy-to-use interface which supports numerous
simulation types. This talk will demonstrate how engineering simulation can be used to investigate a variety of CFD problems in electronics design supported by numerous studies.
